About This Space
Whispers Beneath Trees began as a simple desire to share stories—quiet ones. The kind that often go untold. Moments spent in the forest, thoughts that surfaced beside the sea, little encounters with the living world that made me stop and feel.
I didn’t start this blog with a grand plan. Only the hope that perhaps, somewhere, something I wrote might resonate with someone. Or at the very least, offer a gentle moment of pause.
I’ve worked as a naturalist for over a decade now—guiding, learning, and spending more hours than I can count out in the forest, watching the rhythms of the wild. Years ago, I earned my Divemaster certification through an intense "zero to hero" season—those months were salt-soaked, deeply formative, and left me with a lasting respect for the ocean and its quiet power.
Most recently, I became a certified Shinrin Yoku guide through the Shinrin Yoku Association. That path, in many ways, felt like coming home. Forest bathing is not a technique or a performance, it’s an invitation to be present, to be soft, to remember that we are part of nature, not separate from it.
This space is a reflection of that remembering.
It’s where I share forest musings, ecological notes, and the gentle practice of slowing down.
Thank you for wandering here. I hope you find something that speaks to you between the lines.
